About Maharaja Sayajirao Gaikwad Library


         Library is central organ of an academic institution. Primary objective of academic Libraries is to support the teaching learning programmes of the colleges. Library is a centre for excellence in respect of information resources. Real education can only be achieved through the libraries the libraries are gradually being recognized for their academic services. The Maharaja- Sayajirao Gaikwad Granthalaya is established in June 1990. separate library building is available and the area is 5600 sq.ft, with reading room for 150 students. Now the library is fulfilled with 40000 books including text, reference, Dictionaries, Encyclopaedias and other books, CDS and Audio-Visual material. The library Subscribes standard





Aims of the Library
  • To develop students positive attitude towards life through reading.
  • To inspire the students towards better understanding and use of IT/ Computer oriented interphase.
  • To create and develop students reading habits                                                                                                                                                                   
Library Rules and Regulations

  • 1. Every student should bring their I card and Library Card while coming to library.

    2. In the library books will be issued only on library card

    3. If the I card is lost then issued on payment of Rs. 100/- for duplicate and Rs. 20/- for library card

    4. Under graduate students can barrow one book for 6 days

    5. P.G. & Research students can barrow two books for 6 days

    6. All students can barrow Journals, Periodicals, Newspapers, CD, and DVD etc.

    7. If the book is lost student should pay Double Price of the book or replace the same copy

    8. The membership fee for stake-holders is Rs. 1000/- for deposit & Rs. 500/- for one year
